Silicon People
The exhibition "Silicon People" transports us to a fictional dystopian world. Through paintings and sculptures, it introduces us to grotesque depictions of the last moments of human existence before "petrification."
This collection presents an artistic conception of these beings as "spouts" that carry within them a critique of today's way of life. At the fast and frantic pace brought about by technological progress, they warn us that one day people will not be able to keep up with this accelerated world. This can lead to alienation from reality and an effort to keep up with the new pace, which ultimately leads to a poorer quality of life.
The works depict the dilapidated survivors of this era, or what remains of them. They symbolize the last remnants of humanity in this transformed future. They are silent witnesses to our decline—damnation, absence, and numbness.
